Land Appeal Panel
The Kiribati Judiciary is currently having 8 Land Appeal Panelists who are appointed by Te Beretitenti in accordance to s10 of the Magistrates Court Ordinance 1977 and their major role is to assist the Judges of the High
Court to dispense Justice in Land Appeals and Reviews in particular.
One of their important roles is to accompany the Judges and Commissioner to the Outer Islands to sit and hearing land matters.
This year 2022, the following names of the Panel are;

3. Rine Ueara
4. Amina Uriam
5. Riteti Maninraka
6. Miire Awira
7. Reeteta Rimon
8. Titan Toakai
9. Manikaoti Timeon
The High Court Division is also grateful to welcome a new member to the Panel Mr Teken Tokataake who is soon to take his oath before the Chief Justice.
The sitting of the Panels depends on the Judges’ court schedule in land matters. The members of the Panel are not full time employees, they only sit part time.
